As human beings, we are far more than our individual ideas, emotions, or physical bodies.  This transdisciplinary course offers experiential opportunities to explore our vastness and interconnectedness.  From reflexology to polyvagal theory, these interactive sessions will combine timeless traditions with scientific research to demonstrate how inner networks like the nervous system communicate with the natural world.  By tracing our intrinsic ties to the Earth, we can remember our wholeness and revive our sense of belonging upon our home planet.

The Art, Science & Reciprocity of EcoCreativity

Creative expression opens pathways of sensemaking, healing, connection, and activism. This course highlights how meaningful and impactful poems, stories, paintings, and assemblages can emerge through co-creating with the Earth.  From Ecopoetics to the Environmental Humanities to the movements of Land, Environmental, and Ecological Art, we will travel through diverse fields, mapping their evolution over time.  Drawing inspiration from visionary artists and writers, we will explore multiple mediums and experience the regenerative benefits of collaborating with our environments.  Everyone has creative capacities within, and everyone is welcome.

Finding Your Mind-Body Rhythm

This integrative class provides an oasis for young people (ages 13-18) exploring a vast world that moves at a rapid pace.  Although it can be hard to see sometimes, our minds and bodies are always working together behind the scenes to support us.  Through attuning to our thoughts, emotions, sensations, and environments, we can hear and feel our natural rhythms leading us toward internal and external sources of support and delight.  By embracing these intrinsic resources, we can release stress, ride the waves of change with ease, and enjoy the journey.

Do you secretly dream of becoming an artist, writer, or musician?  Has your creative spark faded beneath the demands of daily life?  Guided by the insights of innovative painters, dancers, and entrepreneurs, you will learn ways to cultivate creativity at home, at work, and in community.  Over the course of three weeks, this class will serve as a supportive space for awakening inner visions.  Goals can range from to composing poems to inventing recipes to launching podcasts.  With simple practices, you will kindle original ideas and discover the mental, emotional, and biological benefits of engaging imaginatively with the world.  By planting seeds of creativity, you can transform dormant dreams into empowering energy.
